Efficient use of water - What technological options do we have?

Due to climatic changes, irregular precipitation patterns can be observed in many regions: less precipitation and thus a lower amount of water, more frequent heavy rainfall events, declining groundwater levels, and longer dry periods. These developments not only have significant ecological consequences but also greatly impact agricultural yields and the economic stability of farms.

Therefore, innovative approaches are urgently needed to ensure the resource-efficient use of irrigation technologies.

A variety of such technologies already exist, but the central question remains: Do we need more innovations to use water more efficiently, or is it time to broadly implement existing solutions?
